Spring Blossoms, Garden Revival and Art

Splashes of color amidst lush green foliage.

Weathering the frequent and severe rain downpours and strong winds - they are well adapted to our environment.

Some thrive, unnoticed, in distant corners of the yard.

A welcome sight as we tackle the season's yard tasks.

This year we are working on taming the back yard gardens which have been neglected for a few years. The soil is good and the plants are responding well as we clear back the weeds they have been competing with for water. Packets of vegetable, herb and flower seeds await their turns at being planted in freshly amended beds.

The colors of the flowers, the greens of the foliage, the sprouts from newly planted seeds, the songs of the birds as they survey and visit the garden - all make me smile and work their way into my artwork.
