Metolius quilt

This Metolius quilt was my last quilting project of 2010.  Jean Wells taught this class at The Stichin' Post in Sisters, Oregon.  Such fun to see all the different fabrics people brought for their projects and the various ways we went about putting together our quilts.  The water is constructed using gentle curved piecing and the fish is hand appliqued.

This was a perfect project to end my quilting year - it used a variety of favorite fabrics collected over many years, featured fish and water and mountains (favorite Central Oregon sights), and was constructed with techniques learned and explored in 2010.
